About / 03
He started by taking songs apart.
From India, Kai Kapur makes future bass with melody at the center and weight where it counts. He came to production by pulling apart the records he loved, trying to understand why a chord change, vocal chop, or well-timed drop could hit so hard. The emotional scale of Illenium and the detailed world-building of Jai Wolf remain clear reference points, but Kai's focus is personal: build each track until the feeling survives the speakers.
Producing isn't the step before release. It's the reason to make music in the first place.
